Quimby seems to have had a life long interest in Hypnosis. in 1838 a traveling hypnotist, ONE Dr Collyer gave a series of lectures in Belfast Maine. Quimby was there. He gave a lot ought to what he had seen.

He made experiments and became proficient. He healed a young man

[an aside. My friend went to a psychic in California about 1962., Her name was Neva Dell Hunter. She claimed her

guide used the name Dr. Gordon, but was actually Quimby.]

named Lucas Burkmar. They traveled together for several years.

Later they discovered that hypnosis was not needed.

He began ot call his method ';truth';, his chief desire being to impart

the knowledge to others and to benefit humanity at large

A later student of his was Mary Baker Eddy. He opened a practice in portland Maine in 1859 and he died in 1866Phineas Parkurst Quimby: Has anyone studied this man's works?
