and do you need a mobile phone with them for it to work as my phone is with virgin, they send you out a mobile usb thingy and a sim card with it but what is the sim card for?How does this work ,three are offering it for 10pounds per month.but we use the computer alot?
The sim card goes in to the dongle that plugs into your USB.





Make sure you have reception where you are going to use it.





Also if you use the computer a lot 拢10 per month won't be enough and they charge you a fortune for usage above the limit which is 1gb for 拢10.





If you use it a lot you need the 7gb package 拢25 per month.





A friend of mine has it and went for 3gb - 拢15 per month and got a shock when he got his first bill 拢50.How does this work ,three are offering it for 10pounds per month.but we use the computer alot?
The sim card is what carries all the information on your phone, except for maybe a few things like ringtones and games.

Its a usb modem that plugs into your laptop or pc. This offer is 拢10 for 1gb which to be honest doesnt give you much its really only designed for light usage normally if you're travelling. If you go over the 1gb allowance you will get hammered for data charges. I would strongly advise against it and buy a proper broadband package. With capped data allowance it doesnt just mean you have 1gb of download for music or movies it means everything from websites sending emails etc. It works by putting a simcard into the modem you dont need a mobile phone for this. I have 1gb internet max which is exactly the same but on the my 3 phone.
