If the stimulus package works, will you Republicans get behind this President or complain?

I fully expect that, if the stimulus plan works and the American economy is better at year's end, the Republicans will try to find ways to claim credit.If the stimulus package works, will you Republicans get behind this President or complain?
If it works??? You're kidding aren't you. Stimulus programs don't work. Never have.





In ancient China they tried it and all it did was empty the treasury of its silver, who left them broke.





France tried it and it didn't work.





About 10 years ago Japan tried it 8 times and failed every time.





The USA tried it during the great depression of the Roosevelt Administration. Roosevelt's Sec of the Treasury, Morganthal, said it did no good at all and even made the depression last longer that it otherwise would have.





Leave it to the Dems to try the same thing over and over and expect to achieve different results.

I have never not been behind our President even though I did not vote for the guy, just because I may not agree with what is happening with the stimulus package does not mean I am not behind the President. When are some going to understand that you don't always have to agree with someone but still can back them on other things.
Oh what a short memory you people have.Remember the stimulus checks that all of you ran to cash I never hear of any of you liberals complaining about that.Hell no when you heard you where going to get it you complain that it didn't get to you fast enough.Obama's stimulus will not work either.How can spending more money that we don't have help......It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.The man spent 1000's of dollars just to fly out west to sign this pork bill how is that smart?
The Republicans, the party of no, only does things if they benefit. They are like spoiled children, give them a little attention and they will be cooperative.





I say vote them all out of office and lets get back to the business of serving the country!
Will you likewise admit that Obama and the Democrats signed the worst piece of legislation in the history of the US if it doesn't work?
How will you know if it works? The Democrats have said they will not know. We have low interest rates and affordable houses today. The Market may rebound on it's own, but we just have to stop the bleeding first. Who is going to pay for the continuation of all these government programs?


NY State has the most government programs and Upstate has the 2nd highest poverty rate. You either work in a no show job and collect a great pension, pay for all of this which drives people away (50,000 left since 2000) or are feeding at the trough. It is a bunch of lies. Politicians want your money to decide for you. If it worked, why the high poverty?





I remember: Phil Graham did it, but not Clinton (he signed), and Raines (Fannie Mae) did it, but not Barney Frank who went to the wall to protect him. Look at Time Magazine's list. How can they implicate only the Republican side of those deals that Democrats helped craft and sign? It's blatant liberal bias and you have to be suffering from mental illness not to see it.
If it works? Why so doubtful? I thought it is supposed to work. History has proven this is fiscally wrong and does not work.

I would appreciate something to help the economic crisis we are in, but I am never going to fully support a democratic president because I vote republican for other things than money.
IF this spending bill works I'll admit that he MAY have been right on this one occasion. But there are so many other facets to his platform that need to examined I doubt if I'll ever be 100 percent in favor of O.
If it does indeed work, I will get completely behind him and praise the democrats who passed it.
