How much should I charge for mowing grass and yard work this summer?

I really do need some help determining how much should be charged for each service. How much should I charge for a riding mower vs. a push mower? How much should I charge for a ditch? How much for x number of acres? How much should I charge for pulling weeds/hourly maybe?

I am a college sophomore looking to make a little extra money this summer. How much should I charge for mowing grass and yard work this summer?
It depends on your experience and how much you are going to do. If you are going to edge around sidewalks and borders then you could probably get ten dollars for 1/3 acre average lawn. The pros only charge $25 for the same size and they fertilize and aeriate also. How much should I charge for mowing grass and yard work this summer?
Well sir, I would suggest $ 10.00 for a normal lawn with a push mower. Most people would agree to that. If you want to be more like a profesional Landscaper you should ask around your area to find out what they charge and do.

Because you should take into acount the maintanance and gas cost of your equipment. Hope this gives some ideas.

Instead of working this past year I babysat for my sister and she paid me. Do I need to file a return?

I also lived with them, so I no longer had to pay rent. Does this factor in the income taxes?Instead of working this past year I babysat for my sister and she paid me. Do I need to file a return?
Even if you earned money ';under the table';, you may still claim the income. It will be considered self-employment which uses many more forms and the simplicity of doing your taxes is a bit more complex. They may also deduct child care expenses, however there are special circumstances for employing someone who also lives in their home. Make positive that you have records for each party that are compatible.Instead of working this past year I babysat for my sister and she paid me. Do I need to file a return?
Did you pay taxes? Did she pay taxed for you and issue you a 1099? If you worked ';under the table'; then there is nothing to file because nothing was claimed.
Actually you are considered a household employee. Your sister should have withheld Social Security and Medicare taxes from your pay and paid payroll taxes on it using Schedule H on her return. If she paid you more than $8,750 under those circumstances then you'll have to file a tax return. The value of the housing isn't taxable as it appears to be a condition of employment for the benefit of your employer.

If she didn't withhold SS and Med taxes you'll have to file if she paid you more than $400 for the year as you must pay self-employment taxes at least.
I'd say you worked a lot. Babysitting is definitely WORK! Do you know if your sister is planning on claiming this as child care and taking a tax credit for it?

Your sister paid you, but you don't say whether or not she treated you as a household employee. This suggest you'll need to file a Sch C - Self-employed Business schedule. A single person can earn up to $8750 before owing any regular tax on their income. However, you'll owe self-employment taxes on all of this income at the rate of 15.3%

You say, ';I also lived with them, so I no longer had to pay rent.'; You don't state your age, but is it possible that your sister could claim you as a dependent? If so, then you can only earn up to $5350 before owing regular tax PLUS your self-employment tax.

You need to discuss this with your sister and find out how she plans on treating it on her income tax return.

    Good Luck!

I have a small dog kennel, would this work as a rabbit cage?

I have a small dog kennel. It @ four feet long and three in width. It has a pan that is removable at the bottom. Would this work for a rabbit cage. I have read it would. I plan on litter training my rabbit. I will start with a small pan in the corner the rabitt chooses to go to the bathroom. I have read that the wire cages can be uncomfortable for a rabbit. Many suggest putting cardboard over the wire. Just wondered what some peoples opinions areI have a small dog kennel, would this work as a rabbit cage?
I think i know what kind of cage you mean, i have a rabbit and a cage like that. that has been the best cage ive gotten for him. I tried a couple others that were suppose to be ';designed for rabbits'; that just didnt work out or last. I dont keep him in it all the time, just at nights and when im away at work. Most other times he has the run of the house. But its worked out great for him. The tray slides out easy underneath so it makes it easy to keep clean, the door opens wide so he doesnt have any problems going in or out. Plenty of room for a bunny.I have a small dog kennel, would this work as a rabbit cage?
no. rabbits won't go in it, due to the dogs scent still being in it
sounds like a good plan to me. go for it.
The dog cage can work, but you need to be careful what wire is used for the flooring of the cage.

Most wire rabbit cages use a 1/2';x1'; wire bottom floor with a heavy gauge wire (the smaller the gauge number, the heavier the thicker the wire). A thick wire gauge will make the wire floor easier on your rabbit's feet. Be careful about putting stuff on the wire. It can allow poop to build up and create problems instead of actually helping. If the adult size of your rabbit is 11 pounds or less, you can normally keep it on a wire floor. If the adult size is 12 pounds or more then I'd recommend using a solid wood floor.

Below is a website for wire flooring to build wire rabbit cages.

I strongly recommend getting the galvanized after welded wire. It last much longer than the galvanized before welded wire does. The galvanized before weldeded wire will start to rust after about 2-3 years. The galvanized after welded will often last 10-12 years before starting to rust. It is especially important to get the after welded for the flooring since the flooring tends to rust out quicker and the rust can hurt their feet.
Yes, A dog cage does work. I've kept various rabbits in them though the only problem is cleaning out the cage. I did it on a weekly bases and found out that the cage needed to be higher because the droppings pile up in the pan, but litter box trainning her is a wonderful idea

Wire cages can be uncomfortable but you should put down a ceramic tile because some bunnies develop a chocolet-like addiction for eating cardboard and plastic.
IT sound comfortable enough for a rabbit, but do not take my opnion for 100 % you should sitll wait for the other comment
I agree that you should put the cardboard over the bottom cause there feet can get stuck in there an it can hurt there feet.

In Yahoo Fantasy Football, I want to exclude ALL kickers from my pre-draft rankings. Does this work?

I am trying to get the system to not draft a kicker, and then I will just pick one up off waivers after the draft. I am wondering if this will work or will it just draft a kicker anyway? In Yahoo Fantasy Football, I want to exclude ALL kickers from my pre-draft rankings. Does this work?
If you let it autopick for you, you will get a kicker. The only way I would think it's possible is to go through the trouble of excluding all K's on your pre-draft rankings, and I mean all.

The auto-pick always, and I mean always fills your starting positions first, with the highest ranked player available for whatever positions you need.

If you're in auto-pick anyways it can't hurt to get a kicker as everyone else will as well, and you can always just drop him, waiver wire the extra player you want...

Try a live draft if you really don't want a kicker. In Yahoo Fantasy Football, I want to exclude ALL kickers from my pre-draft rankings. Does this work?
Yeah you can exclude them but you have to make your list real long otherwise once everyone is off your list and it is empty they will start drafting what your team needs to fill like K or DEF

I dont understand how this works...?

Well, how come well rotted manure is free from many pests or weed seeds?I dont understand how this works...?
I guess cause it's rotted. Pests and weeds, however dirty they are, live in fine manure.

That's what my INSTINCTS say anyway!
